All individuals affiliated with Crime Trackers Massachusetts are required to complete FEMA Public Information Officer (PIO) training, Victim Assistance Training, and COPS Office trainings. These courses ensure a consistent standard of knowledge, ethics, and sensitivity when handling public safety information and community-facing content. All required training is free, conducted online, and accessible to the public, making participation possible regardless of background or location.
Joining our team means contributing to a mission centered on informing the public, supporting those who protect our communities, and strengthening trust through accurate and ethical communication. Team members may assist with research, content creation, public awareness initiatives, community outreach, or administrative support, depending on experience and interest.
We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds who are dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to responsible public service. Prior experience in journalism, public safety, communications, or community advocacy is helpful but not required. What matters most is a willingness to learn, follow established standards, and uphold the mission and values of Crime Trackers Massachusetts.
