Daily Schedule

The following schedule represents a typical training day for the Basic Massachusetts Police Recruit Preparation Program. The schedule is designed to reflect the structure, discipline, and expectations of a Massachusetts police academy. Times and activities may vary based on training objectives, weather, or operational needs.

Participants are expected to be punctual, prepared, and accountable for all scheduled events.

0500 – Wake-up and accountability formation
0530 – Physical training
0700 – Hygiene, room preparation, and inspections
0800 – Breakfast
0830 – Drill and ceremony instruction, marching, formations, and saluting
0930 – Classroom instruction
1200 – Lunch
1230 – Practical skills training, including firearms familiarization, control tactics, and scenario-based exercises
1600 – Drill practice, formations, and discipline training
1700 – Physical conditioning or remedial training
1800 – Dinner
1830 – Study hall, inspections, briefings, or classroom review
2030 – Personal preparation for the following day
2130 – Accountability formation
2200 – Lights out

Weekends may include drill evaluations, inspections, physical training, classroom instruction, or limited recovery periods. The schedule may be adjusted at the discretion of program administration.
