Crime Trackers Massachusetts Public Information Officer (PIO) Support Unit

The Crime Trackers Massachusetts Public Information Officer (PIO) Support Unit provides trained public information and media relations personnel to law enforcement agencies across the Commonwealth on a per diem or as-needed basis.

This unit is designed to support police departments, particularly small and mid-sized agencies, that may not have dedicated full-time PIO staff. Our personnel assist with media communication, public messaging, press coordination, and community-facing information dissemination during routine operations, major incidents, and critical events.

The PIO Support Unit enhances a department’s ability to communicate effectively, maintain transparency, and manage public information professionally, while allowing sworn personnel to remain focused on operational responsibilities.
