Holden Police Department Welcomes New Officer Kevin Shaw

Crime Trackers Massachusetts is issuing the following statement regarding the appointment of a new officer by the Holden Police Department in Holden.

We would like to congratulate and welcome Officer Kevin Shaw on his graduation from the Massachusetts Police Training Committee Plymouth Police Academy 79th Recruit Officer Class.

Officer Shaw’s path — from growing up in Mansfield, to attending Bishop Feehan High School, and earning a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Assumption University — reflects dedication, discipline, and a strong academic foundation as he begins his law enforcement career.

He will now enter the Field Training Program with the Holden Police Department before transitioning to patrol duties, where he will serve the community directly. Officer Shaw also fills one of several open positions within the department, strengthening staffing levels and operational readiness.

Crime Trackers Massachusetts recognizes the commitment it takes to complete the police academy and step into this profession. The transition from recruit to officer is a significant milestone, and it marks the beginning of a career centered on service, responsibility, and community protection.

We commend the Holden Police Department for continuing to invest in building its ranks and preparing the next generation of officers.

We welcome Officer Kevin Shaw to the profession and wish him success and safety as he begins his service to the community.
