Fatal Shooting Under Investigation in Mattapan

At approximately 12:12 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 24 Stow Road in Mattapan.

Upon arrival, officers located a victim, identified as Alex DeAndrade, 37, of Brockton, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Boston EMS responded and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
