
On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, officers and detectives assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) arrested Brenton Maughn-Tulloch, 39, of Brooklyn, New York, for commercial breaking and entering.
An investigation was conducted in the area of West Street, with officers setting up surveillance. While watching the area, officers observed a suspect exiting the locked front door of 41 West Street. The suspect was then seen walking toward Washington Street. Multiple officers converged on the location and stopped him. The suspect was placed into handcuffs, and a search incident to arrest was conducted, during which officers recovered a laptop belonging to a company in the building.
Maughn-Tulloch was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on two counts of breaking and entering into a building, nighttime, for a felony, possession of a burglarious instrument, and larceny from a building.
“This arrest reflects the coordinated efforts and professionalism of the officers and detectives assigned to District A-1,” said Tiffany Williams, Director of Crime Trackers Massachusetts. “Through surveillance and timely action, officers were able to identify the suspect, take him into custody, and recover property connected to the investigation.”
